It was founded in September 1996, and IGN started to operate with five independent sites: IGN64, PSXPower, Saturnworld, Next- Generation, Ultra Game Players Online. In 1998, the Internet joined these independent web pages to develop IGN's system "channel." Next-Generation and Ultra Game Players Online are not included; UGPO was disbanded with the cancellation of the magazine, and when Imagine decided to develop the Daily Radar logo, Next-Generation was delayed.
In June 2005, IGN claimed that there were 23 million visitors per month, of which 50,000 were registered users Rocket League Items. According to Alexa, IGN is one of the 200 most visited sites, and the IGN forum is the most active network BBS. In September 2005, IGN was acquired by Rupert Murdoch's media conglomerate news corp. In February 2013, IGN was once again easy to master, and Ziff Davis, the world's largest integrated information technology publishing group, completed the acquisition of IGN [1]. In April 2013, IGN sold the business and team of the IGN Pro League to blizzard entertainment.
