The formation of the Rocket Racing league

In October 2005, Granger Whitelaw and Ansari x-prize founder Peter Diamandis teamed up with Reno Air Races to announce the formation of the league. According to Diamandis, the league aims to "inspire everyone to look up again and find inspiration and excitement. "Preliminary plan requires four team league final in 2006, followed by the team in 2007, in 2007, is based on competitive video game in 2006, analysts wondering about enterprise economic condition, especially the RRL attract similar IndyCar and NASCAR ability of large fan base. If there were no matches in 2006 or 2007. In April 2008, the league said that "preparations for the competition [announced] four games will be held in las cruces later in the day." On April 14, 2008, the Rocket Racing Composite company, Racing Rocket Racing Composite Corporation Rocket League Items, was awarded the speed air process. RRL announced that their goal was to "build a fuselage for all competing Rocket Racers". On May 26, 2010, Velocity employees sent an email list of Scott and Duane Swing to the builder, indicating that they had withdrawn all of Velocity Inc's ownership from the rocket racing league. RRL does not have the share of Velocity Inc

None of the four planned 2008 games was actually running. The rockets have struggled to get enough financial support from investors and sponsors in order to stabilize their first season in 2008, 2009 or 2010. Progress on rocket and aircraft technologies remains, but by 2014 the league had ceased. The union twice failed to complete six hangars on land near the U.S. spaceport near las cruces, new Mexico. As of January 2009, the league is likely to stop leasing leases in las cruce. In July 2009, the league announced an end to venture capital funding of $5.5 million. The money is for ongoing operations and the development of next-generation rocket racing. As of February 2010, Peter Diamandis has suggested that 2010 May be the year we see "more than one race car driver, even in the race." The non-exhibition "live" competition will take place as early as 2011.
